Who this guide is for

You are a student (role: Student). This guide shows you how to find classes, enrol, study your lessons, take part in live sessions and book one-on-one time with a teacher.

Before you start

  1. Open your organisation's site and select Sign In.

  2. Enter your email and password, then select Sign In. You arrive on Today.

Signing in

If you do not have an account yet, select Sign Up, choose Student, fill in the form and select Create Account. You arrive on Learn, ready to find a class.

Find your way around

The app works in a web browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. The pages are the same; only where the menu sits changes.

On a computer or tablet, the menu is down the left side, under your organisation's name, in groups:

GroupPages
DiscoverToday, Learn
LearningMy Classes, Upcoming, Assignments, Exams
AchievementsCertificates
AccountContact details
HelpGuide, Support

The top right holds the language switcher (English or French), the help (?) button that opens this guide in the app, the light and dark theme switch and the notification bell. To sign out, select Sign out, the icon beside your name at the bottom of the menu.

On a phone, the top bar shows your organisation's name, the notification bell and your picture. A bar along the bottom holds four tabs:

TabOpens
TodayYour next session, your classes and work due
LearnClasses to explore and enrol in
ClassesMy Classes
ScheduleYour upcoming sessions (Upcoming on a computer)

The fifth tab, More, opens the whole menu, including Assignments, Exams, Certificates, Contact details, Guide and Support. It also holds Appearance (System, Light or Dark), Language and Sign out. Selecting your picture in the top bar opens More too.

Use it on your phone

  1. Open your organisation's address in your phone's browser and sign in.

  2. The browser may offer, once, to install the app on your home screen. Select Install app. On an iPhone, the offer shows the steps instead: select the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Select Not now to skip it.

  3. The app then opens from your home screen like any other app, on Today, with the four tabs along the bottom and More for everything else.

The app starts in the same light or dark setting as your device. Choosing Light or Dark under More keeps that choice; System goes back to following the device. If a message says A new version is available, select Reload.

Start your day: Today

Today greets you by name and shows three things:

  • Next up: your next live session, with Join Now once it is open. Schedule opens all of them.

  • Carry on learning: your classes with how far you have got. Select one to carry on, or All classes for the full list. If you have no class yet, select Browse classes.

  • Work due: assignments waiting for you, with their due dates. All work opens Assignments.

Discover classes

On Learn (headed Explore Classes) you can:

  • Search by subject, teacher or topic.

  • Use the filter chips: a level group, Free and Live Now. Clear removes them.

  • Browse the rows of classes, such as Trending, Top Rated Teachers and Live Now, and the Browse by Subject grid.

  • Select a class to open its page, or a teacher to open their public page.

Learn: search, filters and rows of classes

Enrol in a class

  1. Open the class page and read its tabs (What You'll Learn, Curriculum, Instructor and Reviews) and its price. Watch Preview plays a sample if the teacher added one.

  2. Enrol:

    • Free class: select Enrol Now (Free). You are enrolled at once and taken to My Classes.

    • Paid class: select Pay & Enrol. Choose a Payment method and select Pay. You finish on a secure checkout page, or, for a bank transfer, you are shown the details to pay into; then select I've paid — go to My Classes. The class appears once your payment is confirmed.

    • Subscription class: select Subscribe. You are billed on a repeating schedule. Depending on the payment method, renewals are charged automatically or you receive a link to pay again near each renewal date.

  3. Manage or Cancel a subscription at any time from Subscriptions on My Classes. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Study your classes

  1. Open My Classes (on a phone, the Classes tab). Each class shows a progress bar and a Continue button.

  2. Select Continue. The class opens on Choose how you want to learn this course, with a card for each way to learn: Recorded Lessons, Text Lessons, Class Recordings, Live Group Classes and One-on-One Sessions. A way this class does not offer is marked as not available.

  3. Select Start on a card.

My Classes, with progress and Continue
  • Lessons: watch the video, follow Course Content beside it, download Materials and post in the lesson's Discussion. Read this lesson as text opens the text version, if there is one.

  • Assignments (on a phone, in More): open an assignment, write your answer and/or attach a file, then select Submit Assignment (Submit Late if it is overdue and late work is accepted). Come back to see your grade and Instructor Feedback.

  • Exams (on a phone, in More): start an available exam. It is timed and shows one question at a time; use Next and Previous. Select Submit Exam and confirm. You cannot change your answers after that. Then review your results.

  • Certificates (on a phone, in More): a certificate is issued automatically when you complete a course. Select Download PDF, or share it on LinkedIn.

Attend live sessions

  1. Open Upcoming (on a phone, the Schedule tab). The page is headed Upcoming Sessions.

  2. Use This Week, This Month and All to filter, and switch between the list and the calendar with the two buttons at the top.

  3. Join Now appears five minutes before a session starts. Sessions built into the platform open in the app; external ones open in a new tab with Join External.

Upcoming sessions

On My Classes, select Remind me beside an upcoming session to be notified when it starts.

Book a one-on-one session

  1. Open the class from My Classes with Continue, and select Start on the One-on-One Sessions card. The page is headed Book a One-on-One Session.

  2. For a free slot, select Book. Your session is confirmed at once.

  3. For a priced slot, select Book & pay, choose a payment method and select Pay to confirm. The slot is held for you while you pay. Your session is confirmed when the payment arrives, and a Receipt appears under My Bookings.

  4. If you paid and the booking still says Awaiting payment, select I've paid — check now.

  5. At the scheduled time, open My Bookings on the same page and select Join meeting. Afterwards you can select View recording if one exists.

You can cancel a booking until the session starts. Cancelling a paid session flags it for a refund, which your organisation makes.

Keep your contact details up to date

Open Contact details (on a phone, in More). Reminders go to your email, and to your phone if you add a number. Enter your Phone number and select Save number. Your email is your sign-in address and cannot be changed there.

Tips and common questions

  • I paid but the class is not in My Classes. Wait for the payment to be confirmed, then refresh the page. If it still does not appear, contact support.

  • Where is my certificate? Under Certificates, once you have completed the course.

  • Where is sign out on a phone? At the bottom of More.

Getting help

Open Guide (on a computer, also the help (?) button at the top right) for step-by-step help. The chat button at the bottom right of every page opens AI Chat, Live Chat and Ticket. The AI assistant knows your classes, progress, assignments and upcoming sessions, and can explain how to do anything on the platform. You can also open a request under Support with New ticket.

Try it yourself in the live demo.
